Your facilitators

Kelsey and Jane are both 500+ hour certified yoga instructors, who both have a deep love for the traditions of yoga. Their combined experience and passion for creating transformational moments will guide you through a retreat experience that is both grounding and expansive.

Getting to the Retreat in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico

Our retreat will be held at Barbarenas in Puerto Escondido:

There are two main airport options for your arrival:

    • Closest airport to Barbarenas — just 15–20 minutes by taxi.

    • We highly recommend this option as its more convenient

    • Puerto Escondido has a smaller airport with daily direct flights from Mexico City and Oaxaca City.

    • From Puerto Escondido Airport (PXM), taxis are available outside arrivals. The ride is around 200–250 MXN pesos ($10–15 USD).

    • Located in Oaxaca City, about 6–7 hours by bus or about 3-4 hours by car/taxi to Puerto Escondido.

    • This is a great option if you’d like to explore Oaxaca City before the retreat (famous for its markets, culture, and food!).

    • From Oaxaca City, you can either:

      • Take a domestic flight (about 40 minutes) to Puerto Escondido.

      • Or travel by car/van shuttle through the mountains (scenic, but winding).

Travel Tips

  • Book flights early — especially into Puerto Escondido, as seats are limited.

  • If you’re flying internationally, you’ll likely connect through Mexico City (MEX) or Oaxaca City (OAX).

  • Bring pesos for taxis, as not all drivers accept cards.
